Generation to Generation
Series of discussion groups that bring together girls and women of all ages - older women who have been and younger women who are becoming... An opportunity to share thoughts and ideas about issues of importance to women of all ages. This program is LEAD has developed and sponsored this program in New England, Canada, and California.
Annual Multigenerational Women's Conference
An opportunity for women of different gererations to engage in dialogue and to network with each other, with the goal of inspiring and developing advocacy skills to effect change personally, locally and globally. To date, conferences have been held in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Ottawa, Canada.
Reproductive Freedom
Events include:
- 2000 Esther Cohen Memorial Awards for Reproductive Freedom
- Pro-choice public education forums
- Hospital Access Project
- Member of the Vermont pro-choice Coalition
Women's History Month
Annual events throughout the month of March to honor women who have contributed to history.
Reaching Forward
Substance abuse and youth prevention program involving youth as mentors and educators.
Services:
Advocacy ~
- Assist in developing advocacy strategies and plans with local, national and
international organizations;
- Design, in conjunction with local participants, organizing and advocacy
training workshops for trainers and local activists;
- Assist local and national organizations to implement advocacy and community
organizing campaigns;
- Act as resource/backup for newly developed advocacy groups.
Leadership Development ~
- Design and facilitate leadership workshops which include both theory and practice;
- Provide backup and follow-up to workshop participants;
- Organize study tours for young leaders to meet with counterparts in other countries
or organizations.
